Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne has revealed that he and the Liverpool defender are close friends after the 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium.
De Bruyne and Van Dijk were seen chatting friendly. The Manchester City star has confirmed that he and Van Dijk often see each other.
This is because their children go to the same school and play together, so the two rivals also share a lot off the field.
The Belgian star has three children – six-year-old Mason, three-year-old Rome and one-year-old Suri.
Van Dijk, on the other hand, has two daughters – eight-year-old Nila and six-year-old Jadi.
De Bruyne said: “I know Virgil … he and I see each other a lot.
“Our kids go to the same school and they like to play together, so our conversation after the game was friendly.”
Manchester City remain top of the Premier League after an interesting draw with Liverpool still one point behind City.
