Barcelona finally returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Real Sociedad at the San Sebastian Stadium.
Aubameyang’s first-half goal and second-half saves from Ter Stegen helped Barca secure three points.
The victory means Barca are back in second place in La Liga, 15 points behind leaders Real Madrid, although Barca have a game in hand.
It took Barcelona just 11 minutes to take the lead when Aubameyang headed a Feran Torres cross.
It was Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s ninth goal in La Liga this season.
Barcelona created chances but were not dangerous while Alexander Isak missed a great chance for Real Sociedad late in the first half.
Real Sociedad got off to a good start in the second half when Alexander Sorloth missed a great chance.
Sorloth had another great chance when he came off the left wing in the 58th minute but was fantastically saved by goalkeeper Ter Stegen.
Sociedad put pressure on Barcelona who had a hard time defending the ball as goalkeeper Ter Stegen made another brilliant save in the 70th minute.
Barcelona suffered a major setback at the back, with all four defenders suffering injuries within 20 minutes of the second half.
Gavi also missed a great opportunity for Barcelona following a cross from Ferran Torres.
Despite an extra 10 minutes, Real Sociedad were unable to find the back of the net and the match ended in a 1-0 victory for Barca.
