Police have asked people to avoid the area while officials made inquiries. Detective Chief Inspector Cas Cummings understands concerns that such serious cases are being caused in our community, especially considering the younger age of the victim.

In this early stage we ask everyone to report this evening or with information about whether to speak to us in person or via Crimestopper, Westvale officials, or via Crimestopper.

Anyone who sees the incident, anyone who sees the nearby, has what they know, so they ask them to think they are responsible.

There is a big police presence in the area this evening when we do this important job in the area and gather information from local businesses and residents. If you know anything, do the right thing and register.
