UEFA has announced the referee for the Champions League quarter-final second leg between Real Madrid and Chelsea at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday night.
Chelsea travel to Madrid a week after losing to Real Madrid 3-1 at Stamford Bridge, and the defending champions will be looking for a comeback victory over Madrid.
Real Madrid who lose to Chelsea in the semi-finals last year will be without Brazilian defender Eder Militao through suspension.
UEFA has named Szymon Marciniak of Poland to officiate that match in Bernabeu.
Szymon Marciniak has refereed five of Real Madrid’s matches in the Champions League, most recently last season when Los Blancos beat Sheriff Tiraspol 3-0 in the group stage.
Szymon Marciniak also officiated the European Super Cup final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid for the 2018/19 season.
