Paul Pogba appears to have played his final game for Manchester United, with Ralf Rangnick stating that the midfielder would most likely not play again this season.<\/p>\n
Pogba was pulled off with a calf injury barely ten minutes into United\u2019s 4-0 humiliation at the hands of Liverpool.<\/p>\n
The Frenchman was instantly ruled out of the games against Arsenal and Chelsea.<\/p>\n
Rangnick, though, has ruled Pogba out of United\u2019s remaining games, citing the doctor\u2019s belief that he will be out for four weeks.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe doctor told me it will take four weeks minimum for him to recover and the last game is at the end of May,\u201d Rangnick told the press.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think it is very likely he will play again.\u201d<\/p>\n
Pogba\u2019s contract with United expires in the summer, so it appears that his brief appearance at Anfield will be his last.<\/p>\n
When Pogba was replaced by Jesse Lingard, co-commentator Gary Neville observed, \u201cThat may be Paul Pogba\u2019s last minutes in a Manchester United shirt, if that injury lasts a few weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to recent reports, Pogba is exceedingly unlikely to sign a new contract.<\/p>\n
Pogba\u2019s treatment by his own supporters in the 3-2 win against Norwich, where he was jeered by parts of the United faithful at Old Trafford, is alleged to have been the final straw.<\/p>\n
In addition to being booed when he was brought off, United fans chanted \u201cf*** off\u201d at the World Cup champion.<\/p>\n
In what appears to be his farewell gesture at the Theatre of Dreams, he answered by cupping his ears to them full-time as he proceeded back down the tunnel.<\/p>\n
Pogba has played 229 times for United, scoring 39 goals in his second stint after joining from Juventus for \u00a389 million in 2016.<\/p>\n
