The country&#8217;s\u00a0health ministry\u00a0said the 24-year-old patient died after displaying symptoms.<\/div>\n<div class=\"ad ad--epic ad--tablet\" data-ad-text=\"show\">\n<div data-ad-id=\"ad_nat_btf_01\" data-ad-position=\"tablet\" data-ad-refresh=\"default\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ad ad--epic ad--desktop\" data-ad-text=\"show\">\n<div data-ad-id=\"ad_nat_btf_01\" data-ad-position=\"desktop\" data-ad-refresh=\"default\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"zn-body__paragraph\" data-paragraph-id=\"paragraph_A860BD66-F1BC-BB8C-7597-5A4AD9DE5679\">&#8220;There are currently eight suspected cases who are receiving care in a health facility,&#8221; WHO Africa\u00a0said, adding that it is helping Uganda&#8217;s health authorities with the investigation and deploying staff to the affected area.<\/div>\n<div class=\"zn-body__paragraph\" data-paragraph-id=\"paragraph_B73642EC-41E1-75D2-0A22-5A4AD9E57B2B\">&#8220;This is the first time in more than a decade that Uganda is recording the Ebola Sudan strain,&#8221; Dr. Matshidiso Moeti, WHO Regional Director for Africa said. &#8220;We are working closely with the national health authorities to investigate the source of this outbreak.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div data-paragraph-id=\"paragraph_B73642EC-41E1-75D2-0A22-5A4AD9E57B2B\">\n<div class=\"zn-body__paragraph\" data-paragraph-id=\"paragraph_BA2441E7-4DFA-6257-E6C7-5A4AD9E7DA0F\">Uganda last reported an outbreak of Ebola Sudan in 2012, the WHO said.
