Israel’s security minister, controversial far-right politician Itamar Ben-Gvir, has been taken to hospital with minor injuries after a car accident, police have said.<\/p>\n

Video on social media showed the car Mr Ben-Gvir was travelling in had flipped over.<\/p>\n

Police said they were investigating the circumstances of the accident and that Mr Ben-Gvir’s daughter, a security guard and a driver were also injured.<\/p>\n

His office said the minister was in “good condition” following the crash.<\/p>\n

Israeli media aired footage of a black car overturned in the road and quoted a witness who said the car had run a red light.<\/p>\n

Mr Ben-Gvir was in the city of Ramle near Tel Aviv, visiting the site of what the police said was a suspected stabbing attack.<\/p>\n

Central district police chief Avi Biton said a 21-year-old man had stabbed a 19-year-old woman.<\/p>\n
