TALK OF THE TOWN: Kate and Louis go ape

1757

The Duchess of Cambridge won plaudits from Royal commentators for being ‘so normal’ after I revealed she had visited a pub with other school mums without causing a song and dance.

Now I hear she takes orders from a monkey puppet at a singing and dancing class for babies. Kate attends the weekly £12 Monkey Music sessions with one-year-old Prince Louis. There are dozens of the events run all over the country every day, and for security reasons I won’t say which class Kate attends.

However, I can reveal that she gets stuck in. The classes are led by a monkey puppet who asks mums to sing with their babies and dance around the room holding scarfs.

I do hope her armed protection officers don’t join in!

CAD OF THE WEEK: Ben Carrington

Step forward posh property developer Ben Carrington, a former boyfriend of TV presenter Donna Air. Ben, arrived at Brinkley’s bar in Chelsea last week with model pal Linde Stoel on his arm – only to bump into his current girlfriend.

It seems Ben had taken Linde for dinner with his mother, but hadn’t perhaps made their friendship clear to his current squeeze.

To make matters more complicated, both women have children at the same school, and there was a gaggle of mums watching the scene unfold from a nearby table.

Let’s just say the scenes would have been more suited to the Queen Vic.

Linde left in a huff, while Ben’s love interest was embraced by the mums and consoled over a glass or two of champagne.

I am thrilled to be a matchmaker – of sorts – for my former Crush of the Week Caitlin Van Den Bogaerde.

I hear that after seeing my column, Caitlin’s ex-boyfriend Alasdair Gill – son of former Cabinet Minister Amber Rudd and the late journalist A.A. Gill – got back in touch and the pair have rekindled their romance.
