Writing in The Sunday Times, the former star of BBC<\/a> show Top Gear<\/a> described fishermen suffering due to water shortages on a boat tour of Vietnam and Cambodia.<\/p>\n

He said: \u2018It\u2019s the first time that we\u2019ve ever admitted to there being global warming.\u2019<\/p>\n

Mr Clarkson is unlikely to be embraced by the green movement quite yet, however.<\/p>\n

He recently described eco-warrior Greta Thurnberg as a \u2018spoilt brat\u2019.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the United Nations Greta broke down in tears while furiously scolding international delegates for not taking responsibility for fixing the planet’s warming climate.<\/p>\n

‘I shouldn’t be up here. I should be back in school on the other side of the ocean. Yet you all come to us for hope. How dare you. <\/p>\n

‘You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words,’ the Swedish activist thundered in her speech at the Climate Action Summit 2019 in New York.<\/p>\n

Mr Clarkson branded her a ‘spoilt brat’ writing in his column for The Sun<\/a>: \u2018How dare you sail to America on a carbon fibre yacht that you didn\u2019t build which cost \u00a315million, that you didn\u2019t earn, and which has a back-up diesel engine that you didn\u2019t mention.’<\/p>\n
