Pigs in blankets a favourite trimming for many on a Christmas<\/a> dinner plate, but now you can enjoy the meaty treat on a pizza ahead of the big day.<\/p>\n

Discount German retailer Lidl has unveiled the ultimate Christmas combo that brings together two of the UK’s favourites in one genius festive treat – the Pigs in Blankets Festive Pizza.<\/p>\n

Costing just \u00a33.29, shoppers can indulge in a stoned-baked sourdough base pizza topped with a rich Mediterranean style tomato sauce, red onions, as well as a Christmassy cranberry sauce and of course and pigs in blankets.  <\/p>\n

Costing just \u00a33.29, shoppers can indulge in a stoned-baked sourdough base pizza topped with a rich Mediterranean style tomato sauce, red onions, as well as a Christmassy cranberry sauce and of course and pigs in blankets<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Lidl’s inventive Christmas trimmings doesn’t stop there however, as the retailer is also launching six additional blanket inspired bites. <\/p>\n

The range will include a Yard long Pig In Blanket, \u00a34.49,  and Deluxe 6 RSPCA Outdoor Bred British Pork Stuffing Parcels, \u00a32.79, as well as \u00a32.79 Chicken in Blankets – chicken sausages wrapped in turkey rashers. <\/p>\n

For a delicious twist on tradition, these delicious nibbles see succulent chicken sausage wrapped in turkey rashes and, along with the rest of the range, are available in store from Thursday December 19.<\/p>\n

It comes as Papa John’s launched their own take on the Christmas dinner pizza.<\/p>\n

The Festive Feast pizza comes with a red wine gravy base, and is topped with tender turkey meatballs, roasted vegetables Brussels sprouts, and finished off with a rich cranberry drizzle<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Meanwhile, microbrewery Zero Degrees, which has branches in Reading, Cardiff, Bristol and Blackheath, south London, has also launched a roast dinner pizza for the  Christmas season. <\/p>\n

Likewise, Bella Italia’s has launched a Christmas dinner Lasagne, with fresh egg pasta, pulled turkey confit, pigs in blankets, pancetta, mozzarella, cranberry sauce, caramelised onion and parmesan in a sage b\u00e9chamel sauce. <\/p>\n

And it seems everyone is getting on the Christmas pizza hype, with Zizzi launching their own take on the festive pizza.<\/p>\n

The rustica snowball pizza comes with a Chorizo crumb, crispy pancetta, mozzarella, baby sunblush tomatoes & a whole mozzarella snowball, with crispy sage & riserva cheese.<\/p>\n
