The most recent developments between Israel and Iran include an attack by missile on an Israeli hospital and an IDF strike on an Arak nuclear reactor.

A direct hit from an Iranian missile this morning has caused “extensive damage” to the main hospital in southern Israel, according to officials. Soroka Medical Center in Beer Sheba has requested patients not to come for treatment following the attack that left several people wounded.

After advising the locals to leave the area, Israel launched an attack on the heavy water reactor in Arak, Iran, on Thursday. Iranian media reported two projectiles hitting an area near the facility and there were no reports of radiation threats.

Explosions were heard in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv as the week-long conflict showed no signs of easing. The top echelon of Iran’s military command has been destroyed by Israeli strikes, Iran’s nuclear capabilities have been damaged, and approximately 640 people have died. Two dozen Israeli civilians have been killed by Iranian retaliatory strikes. Contrary to his own US intelligence agencies, Donald Trump claimed late on Wednesday that Iran was “just weeks away” from possessing a nuclear weapon and touted the possibility of joining Israel’s attacks. In March, the director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, stated that Iran had stockpiles of enriched uranium but had not decided to build nuclear weapons.
