Cheryl, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts have slammed reports they formed a WhatsApp group to slate former Girls Aloud bandmate Nadine Coyle and vote for her to do Bushtucker Trials including eating ‘turkey testicles’ on I’m A Celebrity.

They have taken the rare step of issuing statements to MailOnline following claims they had been ‘voting repeatedly’ for Nadine to do the trials with Cheryl insisting they ‘have love for each other’ regardless of any differences they may have had.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, Cheryl said: ‘We only want to see Nadine do well, and regardless of any differences we might have had, we will always all have love for each other.

‘We did not enjoy watching her distressed when jumping out of the plane. And we don’t have time for group chats regarding the trials on the show!’

Kimberley also dismissed the claim and said her heart went out to Nadine when she teared up before jumping out of the helicopter during the launch episode.

She told MailOnline: ‘I felt really emotional watching Nadine jump out of the plane and texted Cheryl saying how hard it was to watch. I think she’s doing great in there.’

Nicola echoed Cheryl and Kimberley’s statements and added that the trio do not have a group chat about Nadine or I’m A Celebrity.

Untrue: They have taken the rare step of issuing joint statements to MailOnline following claims they had been ‘voting repeatedly’ for Nadine to do stomach-churning Bushtucker Trials

She said: ‘We don’t have a group chat about I’m A Celebrity, this just isn’t true. We only wish Nadine the best in the jungle and hope she does well on the show.’

The trio speaking out comes after The Sun claimed they had formed a WhatsApp group where they had been swapping messages about Nadine and had been ‘voting repeatedly’ for her to do the most stomach-churning bushtucker trials.

A source told the publication: ‘The girls have been watching the series and keeping up with what’s been happening.

‘They’ve wanted to see what Nadine has been doing and saying about them.

‘They have a group chat and thought it would be funny to vote for Nadine to do the Bushtucker Trials. It’s all a bit of a laugh.’

A spokesperson also denied the claims and told MailOnline: ‘This story is completely fabricated and made up.

‘Cheryl, Nicola and Kimberley have not been “plotting” to get Nadine to do trials in I’m A Celebrity. To suggest they have been is quite frankly ridiculous.’

It comes after Nadine dismissed longstanding rumours she and Cheryl did not get along during her days in Girls Aloud during a recent episode of I’m A Celebrity.

The conversation kicked off when former EastEnders star Jacqueline asked Nadine what it was like being in a girl band.

‘Really good, really good, I like being in a girl band,’ said Nadine. ‘I am one of three sisters and went to an all-girls grammar school so I’m used to being around girls.’

Later in the conversation, Jacqueline asked Nadine if she got along with everyone in the band – including Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts, and Kimberley Walsh – prompting the singer to respond: ‘Yes.’

Turning her line of questioning up a notch, Jacqueline offered: ‘I’d heard you didn’t get on with Cheryl,’ to which Nadine replied: ‘Fake news.’

The conversation ended with Nadine, Jacqueline and radio DJ Adele Roberts singing Girls Aloud’s 2008 hit track The Promise in unison.

Just a day earlier, Nadine broached the subject of the band’s relationship with one another while talking to Kate Garraway on the Australian jungle-set ITV show.

Kate – who was voted across to join Main Camp on Monday’s show, after completing the first Bushtucker Trial of the season – asked Nadine about life in a girl band, to which Nadine said it’s lots of fun but lots of hard work.

Kate then asked why Nadine was reportedly no longer friends with the other members of Girls Aloud.

‘Everyone gets on with their lives,’ Nadine said, but insisted things were initially amicable between them all. ‘I was friends with them all, it was all nice and lovely.

‘But I was always in the gay bars with all the guys! I’d be out partying, me and ten guys, I was having a laugh, I was 18-19 years old.’

Nadine and Sarah Harding were said to have fallen out with Cheryl, Kimberley and Nicola – the latter three still close friends.

Kimberley admitted, ahead of Nadine’s jungle debut, that they have ‘drifted apart’ over the years.

The mother-of-two also revealed that she was shocked to see Nadine joining the I’m A Celebrity 2019 line-up as it’s not something she would ‘expect her to do’.

Yet despite drifting apart and not keeping in touch, Kimberley insisted that she will still be watching the ITV jungle series and wants Nadine to ‘do well’.

Speaking to the Mirror, the singer said: ‘I’m really surprised that she’s doing it because it wouldn’t be something I’d expect her to do but it’s going to be really fun to watch.

‘We don’t really speak often at all. She obviously moved to America and I guess we just sort of drifted apart like you do really.’

Teasing what fans can expect from Nadine’s appearance in the jungle, Kimberley admitted that she is ‘terrified of everything’.

She said: ‘I mean, she’s terrified of everything so that could be a problem, but maybe after becoming a mum she’s a bit tougher, because you put on a brave face for them so they don’t get scared of stuff. I hope she does well.’
