The epic two-hour final for the X Factor: Celebrity on Saturday night, which was won by Megan McKenna.

The former TOWIE star, 27, beat tough competition from Jenny Ryan and Max and Harvey to be crowned the winner, following her awe-inspiring performances of her song This and a rendition of Leona Lewis’ One More Sleep.

Her success comes after judge Nicole Scherzinger shocked fans as she slipped into a very racy ensemble when she took to the stage to perform with The Pussycat Dolls for the first time in a decade.

Dancing alongside Carmit Bachar, Kimberley Wyatt, Ashley Roberts and Jessica Sutta, Nicole sizzled in a semi-sheer lace bodysuit that showed off her ample assets.

Nicole’s ensemble had black detailing to cover her modesty, while it also had a cut out panel across to show a glimpse of her cleavage.

She completed the look with a pair of PVC boots, and wore a glamorous palette of make-up for the occasion.

After getting through to the second round, Megan performed her own song This which left the judges in awe.

Getting emotional, Nicole gushed: ‘What can I say you have my heart, you put your heart on the line every week, you’re so bold to create your own music I’m so grateful for you to be on this show. 

While Simon added: ‘There’s only one other group who have sung an original song in the final that defines you as a person, it’s about honesty and integrity and it speaks to so many people.

During the first half of the show Megan was the final act to perform, and she wowed with her rendition of One More Sleep by Leona Lewis.

‘I have a feeling, I am biased, but I’m not biased, but I have a feeling you’re going to win this competition,’ he said, endorsing Louis’ act.

While Nicole told her: ‘Megan my girl, you sang it up tempo and you were epic… for me you have been a front runner all series so I really hope we get to hear you sing again.’

And Louis couldn’t help but gush about his act: ‘Megan, the little girl from Essex, you have dreamt of this moment all your life, I know because you told me you watched this show from when you were a child.

Meanwhile, Jenny did a rip roaring performance of Lady Gaga’s Edge of Glory for the second half of the show, and was joined by RuPaul’s Drag Race UK queen Baga Chipz on the main stage.

Heaping praise on the TV personality, Louis said: ‘Oh Jenny I didn’t want that to end, I wanted more, you gave more. You are a national treasure and i really believe you should represent the UK in Eurovision this year.’

While Nicole claimed it was ‘hands down one of the best performances of the entire series’ for Jenny, and praised the performance by saying: ‘You took it from a competition to a celebration of acceptance, inclusivity, and love and you’re offically a gay icon after that performance.’

While Simon added that she ‘did an amazing job’ and had picked ‘the perfect song on the perfect occasion.’

Louis started off, and said: ‘Jenny every week I look forward to your performance because I don’t know what you’re going to do.

‘You always push yourself, you can sing anything… amazing vocals you push yourself, you have something special, people like you out there!’

While Nicole added: ‘Jenny I’m looking up to you girl you had such grace, such poise, I’m loving that bow up there. You had such great vocal control, you make it look so effortless and easy.’

Nicole told the duo that she didn’t feel the song was right for them as it was ‘too dated’ and didn’t suit them.

She explained: ‘It was a heartbreak song and these boys are heartthrobs, but you boys can sing anything… y’all can do no wrong.’

Louis blasted the remark that it wasn’t right for them, as he said the Wham! classic was ‘one of the most iconic songs in the UK.’

‘I think it was the perfect song for them because it was an iconic pop songs of all time, I think off the back of that you wont only get to the next round, but you have a chance of winning it.’

For their final performance, Max and Harvey performed Kiss You by One Direction which saw them first sing in a red London Bus before taking to the stage.

They delighted the judges with their fun and energetic performance, as Nicole said she was ‘here for the Max and Harvey phenomenon’ and claimed they were going to be ‘global superstars’ after the show ended.

Louis kept things simple, as he told the duo: ‘You’re driven, you put in the hard work, you’re charming, and you’ve never let us down.’

While Simon reminisced about the glory days of X Factor as he mentioned 2010’s season which featured One Direction, and said the pair reminded him of the now hit boy band.

Despite being the eliminated before the final hurdle, V5 opened the show with a festive rendition of All I Want For Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey, which saw them receive gushing praise from the judges.

Nicole told the quintet: ‘Girls what a great way to get us into the Christmas spirit, you sang one of the most iconic songs ever. 

‘You sound amazing, your vocals get stronger and stronger each week, I love the costumes, you remind me of a mini Pussycat Dolls.’

While, with the same sentiment, Louis went on to add: ‘You’re in the final, you have something special, you remind me of the young Girls Aloud, the young Pussycat Dolls. You have the makings of a great global act.’

Simon chose a more tactic approach, as he said: ‘The way it works tonight is only three acts will sing a second song, and the idea that you won’t get to sing a second song isn’t great, you deserve it.’
